Ashley Marks

postpartum days + nights

Ashley spent the first ten years of her career working in global health, supporting projects around the world improving maternal and child health services and research. After having her own babies, she grew increasingly passionate about the need for a better standard of postpartum care and support here at home, and began training as a postpartum doula. She was certified with the International Doula Institute in 2025, and is excited to follow this next path in her pursuit of a meaningful career. She knows the fourth trimester to be a sacred, transformative, and “brutiful” time that calls for sisterhood and community, and is eager to be part of the village.

Ashley is a Pacific Northwest girl, but recently relocated to the Bay Area to give her California-born husband more sunshine. They live in Oakland with their two kids and the greatest dog that ever lived. They love to be outside, walking on the beach or in the woods, dancing to live music, or traveling to new places.

As a former project manager, Ashley’s super power is helping families plan and prepare for the fourth trimester, bringing a well-organized and practical approach to the postpartum journey.
