Birth Realm was started by Jacqueline Davey in 2006. It started as a passion for birth, but even as a young child Jackie was obsessed with babies. Quickly realizing how much pressure and stress was on the nuclear family, Jackie’s passion for postpartum gave way to a vision where families are supported in their homes by qualified, compassionate and humble doulas. Jackie felt strongly that we can change the culture of isolation and perfectionism in early parenthood by bringing doula care to families.

Uniquely, Jackie’s vision inspired by the honeycomb structure, recognized that as caregivers, doulas need professional support, consistency in schedules, and income reliability if they are going to truly be in service to their clients, and show up whole heartedly.
